NADAR

NADAR first started as an exhibition, a project were music, art and performance were presented and perceived as one. Born from the need to create a context for work that needs more than the existing conventions such as the white/black box.

After the first event, NADAR felt they weren’t quite finished with this idea and they started an artist collective, with a plan to build more than just the convenient exhibition. The main core in their practice was to create possibilities for own work and the work of others, relating to the given space and time. Posing questions and research around chosen subjects lead to providing different answers, different possibilities, all arising from their own medium. NADAR is radical in its ways of searching for a total experience. Not only the object, or the artwork itself is presented but alongside the esthetical part purpose, meaning and cross-over influences walk hand in hand. Each project should be treated differently, from a complete different philosophy, and resulting in a very different approach. Each project will undergo the process that any artwork goes through. NADAR found its home in the artspace ‘Ontsteking’ where research to all various topics can evolve, but it can also be used as a projectspace for other collectives, artists and thinkers. Therefore they can join in the search for a complete experience of art in many different ways. Joining forces will result in a very wide vision of what art is, was and can be.
